Methodology

We researched this ranking by reviewing the current official Marriott and Marriott All-Inclusive resort pages for their top amenities and location.

We also analyzed guest sentiment patterns from Google Reviews, TripAdvisor, and Expedia to spot repeat praise and repeat complaints, then our editors applied a proprietary scoring formula that weighs beach quality, room appeal, food variety, pool and spa features, value for the rate, and overall traveler fit.

The result below ranks the standout Jamaica Marriott resorts from number 5 to number 1 based on overall appeal and amenities.

The 5 Best Marriott Resorts in Jamaica for 2026

5. Royalton Blue Waters, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort
4. Royalton Hideaway Blue Waters, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort, Adults Only

See Location & Prices: Check on Google Maps
Location: Falmouth, Jamaica
Key Highlights:

  • Combined setup with a family-friendly side and an adults-only Hideaway section
  • Large pool scene with water features, lazy river access, and a more private adults-only pool atmosphere
  • Broad dining variety, beach access, and room options that work for both couples and families

The Royalton Blue Waters and Royalton Hideaway Blue Waters Adults-only property is best when they are looked at as one connected resort experience as you can choose between a family-friendly side and an adults-only part depending on the kind of trip you want.

Royalton Blue Waters gives families a lively beachfront base near Falmouth, while the connected Hideaway at Royalton Blue Waters creates a separate adults-only side for a couples’ getaway.

The family side has 225 suites, so there is a fairly broad selection of accommodations for couples with children, larger families, and multi-generational groups. Inside the rooms, you get Royalton’s signature DreamBed, modern bathrooms, balconies in many categories, plus suite options that give families additional living space.

For kids, actually, the water facilities are one of the biggest reasons we would consider Royalton Blue Waters among the Marriott resorts Jamaica offers.

The super fun pirate-themed water park has twisting slides and splash areas, and unbelievably enough, there is a lazy river that provides parents and older children a change of pace compared to the beach or the pool.

Speaking of the pool, the massive outdoor pool areas for superb for regular swimming and lounging, so the resort does not depend entirely on its water park.

Breakfast is centered around Gourmet Marché, their international buffet restaurant, where guests can start the morning with fresh fruit juices, local and international selections, and a dedicated children’s buffet.

Later in the day, the dining selection feature Grazie Italian Trattoria, which features Italian comfort food, while Hunter Steakhouse focuses on steaks, Taj serves Indian cuisine, and Zen brings Asian grill and teppanyaki-style dining into the generous all-inclusive package.

Jerk Hut is, naturally, one of the places we would make time for during a Jamaica vacation because it brings local jerk flavors into a casual resort setting.

Families can also stop at Scoops for gelato and coffee.

Hideaway at Royalton Blue Waters shifts the mood quite noticeably once you move into the adults-only section. The resort has two quieter pools exclusively for adult guests, including space for laid-back swimming and a swim-up bar where you can spend a long afternoon with a cocktail instead of joining the busier family activity areas.

Hideaway guests also have access to exclusive breakfast and lunch service, which adds another layer of separation from the family section. At the same time, adults can use the wider dining and entertainment choices across the connected resort, so staying in the quieter section does not mean giving up the larger restaurant selection.

The beach deserves plenty of attention here because both resorts sit directly along the Caribbean coast. We believe the combination of easy beach swimming, sun loungers near the water and kayaking gives the property the kind of beachfront experience people are usually hoping for when booking a Marriott resort in Jamaica.

The Royal Spa is another feature that makes this pair more appealing for grown-ups who want something slower between pool days. Its facilities include hydrotherapy experiences, steam rooms, treatment spaces with Jacuzzi baths, facials, body wraps, and massage treatments, so couples can easily build a proper spa afternoon into their stay.

Outside the resort, vacationers can also plan day trips toward attractions such as Dunn’s River Falls or spend some time exploring the historic Falmouth area.

Another great part about this resort campus is that Montego Bay’s airport is only a 35 to 40-minute drive away, making it exceedingly easy to get here from the US.

Book Royalton Blue Waters if you want a family-friendly resort and welcomes children, while Hideaway at Royalton Blue Waters is specifically reserved for adults only.

3. Royalton Negril, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort
2. Royalton Hideaway Negril, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort, Adults Only

See Location & Prices: Check on Google Maps
Location: Negril, Jamaica
Key Highlights:

  • Connected resort concept with a family-friendly main section and a quieter adults-only Hideaway section
  • Strong Negril beachfront setting with easy access to calm water and sunset views
  • Wide mix of suites, pools, dining venues, and nearby attractions for couples and families alike

The Royalton Negril and Royalton Hideaway Negril Adults-Only is another Marriott that offers two different vacation styles within the same larger beachfront resort experience.

We like this combo a bit more than the pair above as we believe the beaches at Negril are a bit nicer and these properties are also rated a bit better overall as well.

Families can book one of 407 suites and partake in their own recreation facilities on the main Royalton side, while adults can choose the quieter Hideaway section and still enjoy access to the broader restaurant and entertainment collection.

The value becomes clearer when you look at the water facilities.

Royalton Negril has its main outdoor Royalton Pool, a separate Diamond Club pool, a splash pad for younger guests, and a whirlpool, while Hideaway guests have their own outdoor Hideaway Pool plus an adults-only Diamond Club pool and whirlpool.

That means your family can spend the day differently without splitting up across separate hotels.

Parents can stay near the children’s facilities, older kids can head toward their own activities, and adults staying in Hideaway can really unwind in a more tranquil environment.

The stunning beachfront location is another big reason this pair ranks highly among the best Marriott resorts in Jamaica.

Royalton Negril sits directly on the coast, so swimming, paddleboarding, kayaking, and snorkeling in the ultra blue waters is always effortless and just steps away.

For breakfast, Gourmet Marché serves up fresh fruit juices alongside international and local dishes, and a special children’s buffet.

If you are staying in the Hideaway section, Dorado is especially appealing because the beachfront seafood restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner exclusively for Hideaway and Grand Lido guests.

Dorado’s daytime menu includes smoothies, fresh seafood, and grilled dishes, so we believe it is one of top reasons to pay for the adults-only section.

There is plenty of variety at the all-inclusive dinner, too. Zen serves Japanese cuisine and includes teppanyaki tables, Hunter Steakhouse focuses on grilled meats, Grazie handles Italian dishes, and Calypso specializes in West Indies cuisine.

Armadillo adds Tex-Mex to the restaurant mix, while SCORE Sports Bar offers a far more casual setting when you want drinks and pub-style food.

There is also a coffee and ice cream lounge for pastries, specialty coffee, and something sweet between your already generous all-inclusive meals.

On the other side, the adults-only Hideaway side is where you get dedicated adult spaces, including the Hideaway Pool and exclusive access to Dorado, but you are still joined up with the larger Royalton Negril property and its much wider collection of restaurants, nightlife, wellness facilities, and water activities.

The Royal Spa adds another substantial amenity, giving wellness lovers a direct facility to enjoy an authentic spa day.

Treatments here include Swedish massages and deep-tissue work, while the hydrotherapy circuit is another cool offering that makes this retreat a super value.

We also like this complex for active vacationers because Royalton FIT programming goes well beyond a standard hotel gym.

Depending on the schedule, guests can join activities such as beach boot camp, yoga, Aqua-Fit, kickboxing, tennis, or sunrise yoga beside the water.

Families receive dedicated facilities of their own, including the Clubhouse Kids Club and Hangout Teens Lounge, with video games and ping pong.

Negril also puts vacationers near a strong collection of attractions once they are ready to leave the resort. Blue Hole Mineral Spring, local horseback riding excursions, Negril’s famous beaches, and the area’s sunset spots can all add a different side of western Jamaica to the trip.

Book Royalton Negril if you want a family-friendly resort, while Hideaway at Royalton Negril is the adults-only property.

1. Grand Lido Negril Au-Naturel, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort, Adults Only – Top Overall

See Location & Prices: Check on Google Maps
Location: Negril, Jamaica
Key Highlights:

  • Adults-only boutique resort feel with a more private atmosphere than the larger connected properties
  • Oceanfront setting in Negril with strong suite appeal and a more intimate experience
  • Access to added amenities nearby while still keeping a quieter, more exclusive identity

The Grand Lido Negril is the best Marriott in Jamaica because it offers the most distinctive overall experience in this group.

It earns our Top Overall label because we believe its 26-suite size creates the most specialized stay in this group.

It is an adults-only, au naturel resort overlooking the water in Negril, so the emphasis here is on privacy, personal service, and a much smaller guest population than you will find at the adjoining Royalton resorts.

The accommodations are a major part of that appeal. Ocean-facing suites put the Caribbean scenery directly into the room experience, while butler service gives guests personalized assistance with the smaller details of the stay.

For an even more indulgent trip, some premium accommodations offer extra outdoor living space, and the Chairman’s One Bedroom Suite includes a terrace Jacuzzi.

We think those features make Grand Lido particularly attractive for anniversaries, couples’ trips, or folks planning a vacation where the room itself matters rather than simply serving as a place to sleep.

Food is also much more extensive than the resort’s small size might suggest because Grand Lido guests can use dining venues across the connected complex. There are around 10 restaurant choices, ranging from Ocean Point Bistro’s French selections to Japanese food at Zen, steaks at Hunter, Italian cooking at Grazie, Tex-Mex at Armadillo, and Caribbean dishes at Calypso.

Breakfast features a wide international spread that includes fresh fruit juices and healthier selections. For a more scenic morning, Ocean Point Bistro serves breakfast with an ocean view, while Dorado sits right by the beachfront and focuses on seafood and grilled selections.

Dorado is one of our favorite dining details at Grand Lido because its menu includes fresh seafood, ceviche, smoothies, garden salads, and grilled dishes in a setting just steps from the Caribbean. Later in the day, guests can stop at Reggae Bar & Grill for Jamaican flavors or pick up pastries and a cappuccino from Caffe Lounge.

The pool experience is deliberately more intimate, which suits the resort’s boutique atmosphere. Guests have access to a private pool area and swim-up drinks, and they can also make use of additional facilities within the connected Royalton Negril complex when they want a change of scenery.

Additionally, guests have access to The Royal Spa, a full-service wellness facility with hydrotherapy circuits, facials, body treatments, massage therapies, spa rituals, and in-suite wellness services.

We especially like the option of pairing a quiet morning by the water with a couples spa treatment later in the day. Fitness-minded guests can also choose activities such as sunrise beach yoga, Pilates, Aqua Zumba, kickboxing, beach boot camp, tennis, and functional training.

The oceanfront position is central to the whole experience. Rather than building the stay around a massive activity complex, Grand Lido gives adult vacationers a smaller coastal setting where the water, pool deck, private atmosphere, and personalized service take priority.

Then, when you want more dining, entertainment, or activity, the neighboring Royalton facilities substantially expand what is available. That relationship is one of the reasons we believe Grand Lido deserves the Top Overall designation, since its 26-suite scale does not prevent guests from enjoying a much larger collection of amenities nearby.

Negril itself also gives you plenty to do beyond the resort, including local beaches, horseback riding experiences, Blue Hole Mineral Spring, and sunset outings around the western edge of Jamaica. The location makes it fairly easy to alternate between private resort days and a few hours exploring one of the island’s best-known vacation areas.
